You can now connect your Slack workspace to Ellie and subscribe a model or a whole folder to a channel. When someone comments on a model in Ellie, the message lands in Slack, with the right people tagged by their email address.

A few details that make it feel natural:
Ellie adds itself to public channels the moment you subscribe to them, so there's no separate invite step to remember.
Setup is a one-time job for an admin: create a Slack app from the manifest we provide, install it, and paste the bot token into Admin Tools → Integrations → Slack. Your organization owns the app, so the token never leaves your workspace.

See the Slack Integration guide for the full setup.
Good SQL depends on knowing things that aren't obvious from a table name—which rules apply, what a term really means, and which synonyms your business uses.
While Ellie already allows you to create metadata for people, you might also want to add additional context specifically for AI agents. Since AI metadata tends to be more detailed and longer, we're introducing a new setting for metadata fields: AI context.
You can now mark any metadata field as AI context. These fields will be hidden from the main metadata view on the asset and will instead appear in their own dedicated tab.
This way, you still have full access to your AI metadata without cluttering the view you use as a human on a daily basis.
What can you do with it?
You can use the API or MCP to pass this AI context to your AI agent, giving it the business-specific knowledge it needs to do its job—for example, writing more accurate SQL.

More in the Metadata Settings guide.
Some metadata is just yes or no. Boolean joins Text, Chips, Users, and Technical as a metadata field type, and renders as a simple checkbox on entities and attributes alike—no more typing "yes" and hoping everyone spells it the same way.
You'll recognize it already: Ellie's built-in attribute fields like PK, FK, Not null, and Unique use it. Now you can create your own.
See the Metadata Types guide for the full list of types.
