Ellie is currently looking for a new colleague to join our newly formed sales development team in the form of Sales Development Representatives (SDR). The SDR role is a junior sales position and a brand new position offered within Ellie. New team members will have a helping hand in defining what it means to be an SDR at Ellie.
What's an SDR does in a nutshell:
As an SDR, you are the first human interaction a prospective customer has with Ellie, making you a representative face for the company. Your goal is to uncover and make initial contact with new leads, qualify them, and move them through the Ellie sales pipeline. As the SDR, you will be responsible for educating new prospects on Ellie’s unique selling proposition (USP) and, when they are ready, guiding them into the next stage of the sales funnel.
Responsibilities:
- Make initial contact with new prospective customers
- Engage with prospects through various channels, including email, phone calls, and social media
- Educate new leads in the Ellie platform and our USP
- Schedule live demonstrations with our sales representatives
- Work collaboratively with other SDRs, sales representatives, and management to facilitate company success
Requirements:
- Strong, goal-oriented mindset.
- Experience in meeting deadlines and success in reaching predetermined targets
- Self driven with a strong sense of urgency on the job to be done
- A sense of ownership for individual targets that contribute to larger team based goals
- The ability to collaborate with peers to share best practices
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
- The Ability to fully and effectively express yourself in both written and spoken English.
- Obtained or about to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field.
Nice to haves but not essential:
- Past experience in structured sales organizations
- Practical experience maintaining a sales pipeline
- Worked in the data Industry previously
- Knowledge and first hand experience in HubSpot and Google Workspace
- Experience in a SaaS company
- Able to speak other major European languages such as French, Dutch, Spanish, German, ect.
